Overview

Fashion Bot is a daily outfit recommendation app. Your preferences stay on your device, nothing is sold to third parties, and no account is required.

Information you provide

When you set up your style profile, you enter your city (text only — not your GPS location), style preferences, work schedule, and activity notes. This information is stored locally on your device. It is sent to our servers only when generating your daily outfit, and is not stored on our servers after your outfit is generated.

Google Calendar (optional)

If you choose to connect Google Calendar, Fashion Bot reads your upcoming calendar events to personalise outfit suggestions — for example, noting a big meeting or a dinner booking. Calendar data is used only at the moment your outfit is generated and is not stored on our servers. You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time in Settings. Fashion Bot does not modify or delete calendar events without your explicit action.

Outfit history

Your generated outfits are saved locally on your device for up to 14 days. This data never leaves your device except as a brief summary (challenge name and formula only) sent to the server to help avoid repeating similar outfits.

Shop the Look

When you tap a retailer in the Shop the Look feature, Fashion Bot records that a tap occurred — which retailer, which item type, and the date. This is used solely to measure traffic driven to retailers and is not linked to your identity.

Usage analytics

Fashion Bot uses PostHog to collect anonymous, aggregated data about how features are used — for example, whether an outfit was loaded from cache or generated fresh, and which features are tapped. This data contains no personal identifiers and cannot be linked back to you. It is used solely to understand how the app is being used and to improve it.

Push notifications

Fashion Bot uses local push notifications for your daily outfit reminder. These are scheduled entirely on your device — no notification data passes through our servers.

Third-party services

Fashion Bot uses the following third-party services to function. Each has its own privacy policy. Fashion Bot shares only the minimum information necessary with each.

What we don't collect

• Your name or email address
• Your precise GPS location
• Device identifiers
• Any information from your camera or photos

Data retention

Outfit history is stored on your device and automatically pruned after 14 days. Server-side, outfits are cached for up to 26 hours to avoid duplicate requests, then discarded. No personal data is retained on our servers.

Your rights

You can delete all locally stored data at any time by uninstalling the app. To disconnect Google Calendar, go to Settings within the app.

Children

Fashion Bot is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
